Devan Ward, PA-C

Devan has been practicing as a Certified Physician Assistant since 2011. He received his Masters of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Chris Swift, FNP-C

Chris is a nurse practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville and worked as a registered nurse in medical-surgical, orthopedics, and intra-operative nursing where he specialized in orthopedic surgery.

Joshua R. Coger, DPM

Dr. Joshua Coger attended The Ohio State University where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. He then received his doctoral degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship, graduated summa cum laude and salutatorian of his class. After graduating in 2014, he completed his surgical residency with Norton Healthcare Louisville, KY, focusing on Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr Coger treats all issues concerning the lower leg, ankle and foot including fractures, deformities, bunions, hammertoes, diabetic foot care and ulcerations, etc. Dr Coger has obtained additional surgical training in orthoplastics and specializes in minimally invasive (MIS) surgical treatment of common deformities. Having performed over 200 minimally invasive surgeries over the past 2 years, he is widely regarded as the preeminent MIS bunion surgeon in the Louisville metro area. Dr. Coger has been in practice since 2017 and has a hospital affiliation with Norton Healthcare and is currently an attending surgeon for their Podiatric residency program. Dr Coger is married with one son and expecting their 2nd this year.

Brad S. Dunkin, M.D.

Dr. Dunkin attended the University of Dayton where he graduated with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering. He then attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Dunkin went on to complete his fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Kentucky.

As an avid sports enthusiast and consummate orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Dunkin provided collegiate level football team coverage for the University of Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky University. He has also provided team coverage for a wide spectrum of collegiate sports.

Dr. Dunkin specializes in sports medicine injuries and treatment of complex knee and shoulder problems in the athlete and non-athlete. This includes advanced techniques in arthroscopic surgery, ligament and cartilage reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, as well as nonsurgical treatment and rehabilitation. He received the “Top Doctor” award by The Louisville Magazine in 2015. Dr. Dunkin is married and enjoys spending time with his children.

Tyler J. Keller, M.D.

Dr. Keller completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement surgery), at the prestigious Northwestern University McGraw Medical Center. He did his residency at the University Of Cincinnati Department Of Orthopaedic Surgery where he was voted Outstanding Chief Resident. Dr. Keller received his Medical Doctorate with Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Keller also was awarded the University of Kentucky’s Presidential Scholarship and the Vogt Achievement Scholarship.  Dr. Keller has performed hip and knee replacements in underserved countries, including a trip to Honduras.

Dr. Keller specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery, including complex total hip and knee revision surgery, orthopaedic trauma and fracture care. 

His professional memberships include: International Congress for Joint Reconstruction, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, Kentucky Medical Association, American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, and the American College of Physicians. 

Dr. Keller enjoys classic cars and antique wooden boat restoration. He is also an offshore competitive sailboat racing champion. In his ‘spare’ time, he volunteers for numerous organizations.

Shawn L. Price, M.D.

Dr. Price is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. His interest in medicine started at an early age secondary to childhood struggles with asthma. During an undergraduate summer program, he spent time with Dr. Alvin Crawford at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center which further solidified his interest in orthopaedic surgery. In addition to general orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Price developed an interest in orthopaedic oncology after a rotation in medical school and because of personal loss secondary to cancer.

When not working, Dr. Price enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys his church activities, Ohio State football, running, weightlifting, traveling, and the arts. Additionally, Dr. Price currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Lincoln Foundation in Louisville, Kentucky.

David P. Rhoads, M.D.

‘Never Stop Learning’ captures the essence of founding partner Dr. David Rhoads. His medical career journey began when he attended University of Louisville where he received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. He then went on to further his education and completed medical school at the University of Louisville. 

Dr. Rhoads completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the renowned Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. He attended fellowship training in shoulder, hip and knee replacement at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. He has received additional training in hip arthroscopy and hip preservation surgery for femoral acetabular impingement and anterior hip replacement surgery. 

He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He received the “Top Doctor” award by The Louisville Magazine in 2015 and 2018. His outside interests include spending time with his wife Shiela and his three children. He enjoys woodworking.

Mathew T. Phillips, MD

Mathew Phillips, M.D., Spine surgeon, is now a member of Ortho Louisville.

Dr. Mathew Phillips is fellowship trained in Advanced Spine surgery and Sports Medicine. He went to University of Illinois for his undergraduate degree, then attended medical school at Rush University, Chicago. His Orthopaedic surgery residency was performed at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at Spine Surgery PSC, here in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Phillips also completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Phillips worked for several years here in Louisville and he and his family grew to love the area. He is excited to be back “home” to treat the patients of Louisville Kentucky once again.

Dr. Phillips has special interests in acute and chronic conditions involving the cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine, as well as SI Joint Fusion.
